Engel 45 with 2 Zone

Can you open the lid at all without sliding it out onto the tailgate?

Your post is slipping of the page, and while I can not help you with your specific question about the hundy since I have a 60 and don't have a two zone....
I will say that in a 60 with the fridge sitting on the cargo floor the lid will not open far enough to get the basket out. This bothered the hell out of me so I put together some hardware to change the way the lid hinges.

It might give you another way to look at the problem.

You may know about it, but ARB is coming out with a new line of fridges this or next month. They have the Danfoss compressor similar to the current Waeco fridges. That tells me they either have an attractive relationship with a supplier of Danfoss compressors or they think that is a better design to go with.
