Equal Tire Balancer

Anyone have experience with Equal™ Tire Balancer and opinions pro or con?

This is a bag of plastic pellets or powder tossed into the air chamber of a tubeless tire. Per the manufacturer the bag breaks up, the powder disperses inside the tire and provides dynamic balancing.

Don't do it! I had them in my BFG MT's for a while, but couldn't get them to balance after a while. I actually contacted Equal, and they said they were never designed for smaller passenger cars and trucks. they were meant for large big rigs, RV's, machinery and such. They advised against it themselves to me.

Interesting - Expedition Exchanges has Equal in various sized bags for different size light duty vehicle tires.

I've been using Equal for approx 15 years and have NEVER had a problem, trailer tires, all my FJ40's thru the years, both my flatbeds, personnel pick-ups, probably 12 sets of tires over the 15 years........Buy The Product, well worth the money......50k easily out of BFG All-Terrains......

I use Dynabeads. Friend of mine uses Equal (same rims and tires). His issue is, with the powder, moisture from condensation or filling the tires can make it clumpy, not a big deal, until it freezes, takes a bit to break up. Also, he's lost some airing down out the valve stem.

My Dynabeads are larger than the valve stem, so I had to de-bead for install, but I've had them in several vehicles and like how they work.

I run Equal(6 OZ bag) in my 35's on my 06 LJ with Beadlock rims and I like it, never have any vibrations, wobbles or any other problems associated to the product. Highly recommend it.
