I'm assuming thats the one that comes with it (but for a colardo instead of my dakota). And to buy one, all the ones I have seen are $250 range (no thanks).

Hmmm refried, Maravia, Sotar, Paco Pad. You are speaking my language.

Since there was a mention or two about toilets, I recommend this one:

I do not have a wife, but I worked as a whitewater raft guide for several years and have plenty of experience taking other people's wives on multi-day river trips in the middle of nowhere. Having something resembling a toilet makes them much more comfortable. For full disclosure, I am friends with the guy that designed the system, but he no longer has a financial interest in the company or any sales. The larger system fits into an ammo box and leaks and odor are NEVER a concern, or else I would not spend days on end with a full groover right next to me:

You can use two ammo cans, one to hold the liner and one to hold the toilet seat and toiletries. When set up, it is normal toilet height, has a regular toilet seat, etc. Also, clean up is very sanitary and utilizes normal RV dumps, or you could even dump it at home if you were just out for a day or two.

The biggest benefit I see for this system for overlanding or just weekend warrioring close to home is that these are ammo cans - tough. You can strap these things to a roof rack or a car bumper and and save interior packing space.

To make the wife real happy, get one of those pup tents for a fully enclose groover.

One last side note is my suggestion for people who are looking for rugged, quality camping gear in general, spend some time perusing rafting supply sites as rafting gear is top notch durable and reliable, as it has to be.

My wife won't go anywhere with me unless she has a place to pee.....

We spent 4 days in Death Valley with a Luggable Loo and she had a great time.
Also a fan of the Luggable Loo. One suggestion, get a 20mm ammo can to store the used bags in, we had a primary containment failure on Saline Valley road* one time. :Wow1:

I have some friends who left a Rocket box with an Eco-Safe tank in the back of their pick up, after a few days of it being forgotten about they didn't (or were afraid to) open it and dump it. After 5 or 6 days of it sitting around some one stole it, I would have loved to see the look on the thief's face when he opened it.

That made me laugh too when I saw it. I can vouch for it though ... rafts get flipped, gear gets bashed against rocks, etc. and I have never seen anything resembling a failure in these systems.

Definitely Cat Jockey approved.

... and anything else that might make tenting more comfy. ...

I've found that well fed people tend to be happy people. We take a two burner stove and a portable gas grill and eat like royalty.

Off topic: Ammo cans have been used by rafting companies as toilets for decades. They put seats on them now but they're still referred to as the "groover"!
