Espar Airtronic D$ Air Heater Install Advice

Hey everyone!

I would like to install a recently purchased Espar Airtronic D4 Air Heater.

I need to tap into the diesel fuel tank.

Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions where to tap into the existing fuel line?

on a Toyota Coaster I teed into the line from tank to engine, near the tank. Avoided the return line.

With my Canter that approach failed as the line drained overnight. I could never find a leak. I drilled the tank and installed a webasto (similar to ebersp....) stand pipe. Usual precautions drilling with grease on drill, drain tank after drilling, magnet in bottom of tank for a while. A long time ago (in a land far away) it used to be that drain plugs in sumps and tanks were magnetic.

I cut too much off the end of the stand pipe and have to remember to leave enough fuel in the tank if I need the heater. I have two tanks. I couldn't be bothered with a third tank for the heater, and there's long periods when its not used.
