Pickup is undoubtedly handy body type, but as practice shows not for traveling. Therefore, we decided to install a canopy and re-equip it in an expedition car. For this we made a list of what we need:
• rear bicycle carrier
• 4-person tent on top of the roof
• drawers in the body
• light bars in front and behind
• shape of a canopy in one design with the car
• minimum weight
• preservation of aerodynamics
Based on our requirements, it became clear that it’s impossible to buy a canopy that satisfies all our needs. We could limit appetites, but skillful fingers resolved.
