Exploration Camper Build UP

I just bought a 1970's Lance Vista Camper for a measly $900. Its in great shape, very clean and does not have any leaks. Seems pretty light weight and doesn't seem to sag my F350 at all. I plan to tow my Discovery behind it for harder trails.

It does not have a refrigerator, shower and toilet. I'm not worried about the toilet or shower my wife is fine peeing in the tree's. I'll rig something up off the kitchen sink so she can wash her hair though.

Plans:

Solar power
Bigger Battery and Inverter
LED lighting
Refrigerator install (Bought one the same day I bought the camper) $60 like new condition.
Updated LED Brake Lights
Wiring harness for tail lights
Camper Jacks attached to the Camper
Trailer Tie downs on my Truck.

Some photos.

Who the hell pays someone to do electrical wiring in such a shoddy manner. Every wire was hooked together with masking tape. Nothing electrical was working right in the camper. Now I know why. The previous owner had someone do this. I would kill someone I paid if they did wiring this poorly.

LOL should have seen what we found behind the wall in our kitchen in a home currently valued some place around 1.5 million. - former and original owner spent money like it was water gutted the whole house in 91 even lifted the spannish tile roof off and had 2inches of ply put down and the roof put back on because she wanted the tile to be strait and not be wavy when the house shifted on the clay soils we have. Anyway all I can think is that she really really pissed off the electrician and he still probably charged her 5X what he should have. No junction boxes behind light fixtures upstairs just wire poked through a hole in the dry wall. Kitchen was so interesting my buddy a very good electrician took lots of pictures and used them in a class he was teaching. Took him two hours just to sort out what the heck was going on junction boxes which were covered over by drywall with wiring that only powered one socket (outside) on a stand alone circuit speaker wire taped together using yes electrical tape!

I would say your camper is a sizable step up from what I found in my house after a supposed major strip down to the studs and rebuild by the original owner who had more cash than she knew what to do with.

I made a little progress. I charged up the battery and redid some of the wiring. I'm still in the testing phases, but the lights inside work now. I can charge the campers battery off the truck as well.

I finally found some terminals. And started the cleaning process. I also have a new fuse box to install in the camper.
