1982 BJ60 (that's the 4 cylinder diesel version of the '60 series) blue

Charles is my name and "Cruiser Guy" is the screen name

I bought this truck in the spring of 1989 and it is my first Land Cruiser. I've had others, an '84 BJ60 that was very rusty but donated the H55 5 speed to this truck before being sold. I also just recently sold my '76 FJ55 which was restored and modified with a turbocharged 3B. I also have a '67 FJ45LV that is in Costa Rica undergoing restoration (I hope).

It had about 90,000kms when I got it and it's at about 630,000kms now

Favorite mods, turbocharger at 300,000kms but there has been many other mods like the H55 5 speed, A/C, long range tank, 2 1/2" lift, snorkel, Warn 8274, ham radio and on-board air in progress. There are no doubt others that I have forgotten over the years.

This is currently and often the only vehicle we have so it is the daily driver as well as off-road and trans continental traveling. It's next big adventure is traveling to Germany via the West Coast of Africa next spring. We'll be traveling through Sierra Leone, Guinea, Mali (possibly depending on the political situation), Senegal, Mauritania, Western Sahara, and Morroco before entering Europe

This truck has been from San Jose, Costa Rica to Prince George, B.C., Canada and all the way east to NYC. It's now in Sierra Leone, West Africa with us. It's well traveled!

The first picture is crossing from Guatemala to El Salvador towing my '67 FJ45LV. The second picture is overnighting at the Costa Rica/Nicaragua border. Where the road ends and the dugout canoe trip begins in Sierra Leone, West Africa! Doing wedding duty in Sierra Leone sporting 34" Swampers!
