ExPo Bikes - revisiting some gems

Christophe Noel

Expedition Leader
Over the last year or so, we've had some amazing ExPo bikes posted on the forum. I'd like to revisit a few. Feel free to dig up the bikes that you thought were eye catching.

Jim's beautiful Q-ball built for serious adventure:

Jim did a fantastic job with this bike. I've seen it a few times and it's really a beautiful bike. The matte green paint, "wood" rims and well thought out build make this a bike worth a second look.

Jim, let us know what you and this bike have been up to.

Scott's Form Cycles one-off Expedition Bike:

Daryl is not just a great guy, he's an amazing frame builder. Scott's bike is not only a unique one-off, it's a genuine work of art. I've ridden with Scott in races and on casual rides on our local forest trails and that bike is always impressive. The Hammer Schmidt cranks alone set this bike apart. It's a unique blend of delicate artistry, supreme precision and pure brute strength.

ckkone's Surly Long Haul Trucker:

I don't know a darn thing about this bike other than it's awesome. There's an old-world aesthetic to this bike that really is fantastic. The fenders, bar bag, it all works. ckkone, if you're out there, please let us know what this bike as been up to.

The world's largest panniers:

This tandem belongs to Louisd75. What caught my eye other than the massive panniers was the inclusion of six S&S couplers for easy break-down. If you've not seen a S&S coupler, they're amazing. Having six of them on one bike is incredible.

Bike_Mech, Please post up some photos of your touring rig. I remember it being a really sharp looking build.

I'm sure I missed a few bikes we've had on the forum as of late. Post up your favorite adventure bicycle!
