That is damn cool, would have to leave the camper home but still looks like a blast.

It's the spirit of the 70's so a few things can slide. While vehicles absolutely have to be from the 70's and we encourage clothing and camping gear to be from the 70's, it really just needs to maintain the spirit of the 70's. In my opinion that camper doesn't look space age or anything :D

The Relic Run is a vehicle-assisted overland expedition organized as a throwback to the older days of motorized backcountry travel. Participants in the Relic Run are required to operate in the spirit of 4x4 exploration in the 1970's. Only 1970's and older vehicles, only 1970's and older camping gear, and only 1970's and older route finding.

We are yet to have a CJ5 come along. We have had Willy's, Wagoneers, J10's, CJ8, etc... but never a 5. Change that for us :D

How does a CJ 8 meet the criteria for 1970's and older? First CJ8 was 1981, same year as mine :).

Lol, great question. It must have been a 6. Lot's of rigs, lot's of years and I'm hardly a Jeep aficionado. Ask me a Land Cruiser question and I'll be your huckleberry. ;)

Shoot me a number or email I can email some pics to, mine is dustinjeep@gmai.com. Only issues are the digital gauges stop working other then that it runs like a top. I have everything to do power steering and power brakes and that's something I would do before a cross country trip but I driver it at 60 to 65 as is now.
