Expo-ing my toyota pick up.

So I've decided to put my foot down on a decision and turn my truck ( 84 toyota SR5 standard cab 4wd) into a decent expedition rig. The plan is to be able to stay severeal days in the back country on my own. currently I'm running stock everything except the 30" tires. The list of mods planned include a crawler cut to the bottom part of the bed from the wheel wells back, 5 - 31x10.5 BFG ATs or Interco Truxs Mts to be rotated through all five to increase the mileage i get out of them, ARBs both ends, stout front bumper with 2-4 driving/fog lamps, my stout fibergalss and aluminum canopy that's waiting for paint, and a rack/utility cage in the bed for mounting the spare, hi-lift, shocel, axe, and storing tow straps, fuel and water,

So, i know there has to be something, what am I missing? if what my plans to use the truck for are unclear just ask away alright?

Be careful about cutting those beds, particularly at the rear. Once you do their resistance to flex & vibration isn't nearly as good. BT, DT. Now I need to make some pre-rnnr style braces for the rear corners of the bedsides even though I use a tailgate. IMHO I wouldn't do that cut.

Best thing I ever did for my '84 was to cut off the stock front upper shock mounts and install some hoops so that Bilstein 5100's could be fitted. Losing the stud type upper mount means being able to use superior dampers for a far, far better ride. I now have a live axle truck that can mostly keep pace with the IFS pre-run/chase trucks.
