Now that I have my antenna more properly tuned, I might try to drive within range of the Bill Williams Mtn repeater (unless someone knows of a closer IRLP node to Flagstaff).

Hey Jeremy!

The Bill William's IRLP repeater doesn't allow connections to a reflector. You can join us on the net via node #3182 W7JLC in Prescott on 70 CM freq 442.350 with a PL tone of 100.0. I've been successful connecting to it from SR73 (the paved road south from Williams) and just south of FS 354 at the overlook to the Prescott area. I'll be bringing up W7JLC about 10 minutes before the net.

As big as Flagstaff is, I'm surprised there isn't an IRLP node in town.

Rumor has it that one of the antennas up on Mt. Elden used to have IRLP as of a few years ago. Not sure when/why they discontinued it. I will give 442.350 a try and put that dual band to good use.

I go to Flagstaff all the time. That is surprising that Flatstaff doesn't have an IRLP node. And considering how Flagstaff is "centralized"; as in not-so-sprawled out.
