Any volunteers?

I'll be there.

I am not ready for net control yet but as soon as I get the hang of all of this I will give it a go!

My family will be camping on the beach in Carlsbad, CA. I am going to try and check in from the campsite. :camping:

I'm going to give it a shot tonight. Now that I have a good external antenna my repeater options are much larger. If I can get a good stable IRLP repeater, I'd take net control in the future if necessary.

I will try to find a node that I can use to connect to the IRLP reflector from Los Angeles (San Fernando Valley). Is there anyone else in the LA area planning to connect or has already made arrangements to use a node?

I'm sorry I missed the net. I connected to the 9251 reflector shortly after 7pm, but there was no activity, and someone else wanted to use the node.

I was there, just not able to punch through.

1Leg (Jerry) and I were talking on a repeater and as I went to set it up for the net, someone else took over while I was reviewing the instructions to set it up! I saw that someone had setup another repeater for the net so we moved to that one and I was not able to hit it. (Jerry, thanks for checking me in.)

So, lots of rookie mistakes on my side. I'll get the hang of it with more practice!

Hey Mark,

I look to rejoin the net as soon as my local node gets back up. The node's owner is doing some upgrades, which has had it down for a while. After that happens, happy to take net control for one of the nets. Thanks again for all you do to keep this net running - it is unique, well done, and deserves to live. And from what I am seeing, the Expo Ham population is growing.

Cheers, Cal
