The 147.46 repeater in north Phx seems to be down. I've tried to hit it for 2 days??

Well, I tried... The simplex repeater that J. Ruby has in Glendale didn't work for me, though I heard other people on it it. I don't get why it never heard me, I had the tone in there, no offset. Next option was a node in west Chandler (3009). I was able to hit it from north Phx, but no matter what I tried, it would not connect to the reflector. I dunno what I was doing wrong.

I hope a few folks made the net, I'll figure this out eventually...

Dang it! Was loading up the rig for the trip and forgot to get on the radio! I logged on the local Node at 7:45 and heard you guys talking for a few minutes. Ran inside for 2 seconds came back out and you were gone.

T'was another good night of discussion - we covered the basic fab tools like Sawzall's, grinder's and the use of flapper wheels vs hard wheels, and spent quite a while on welding, taking a CC class or other basic welding course, helmets and other consumables.

Sure hope to see participation increase - there were only three of us on the net!
