Does anyone have experience using a yakima roof rack system with q-towers on the newer frontiers? According to the yakima site, they don't make a q-clip to fit the frontys. Just wondering if a clip for something else fits instead?

Are you talking about the spacer and block kit? Calmini makes a decent product. I can't comment personally on the suspension system, but their bumpers are pretty nice.

That's the one I'm looking at.

But, honestly, I don't know if I should do that, or wait and do new suspension. I'm just looking for a little more tire clearance.

I'd be a bit leery of spacer and block kits. Look into them a bit first. I did when I was looking at 2nd gens, and I decided against it. If you're looking for cheap and easy lifts, I'd look into the Bilstein 5100's.

In other news, purchased my first bit of goodies for Franklin the Fronty (wife named my truck...).

Ordered a soft topper! Pictures as soon as I get it in...

Looked at different options, but I think the soft topper fits our lifestyle best.

Still looking into the roof rack issues. Apparently you can use 128 q-clips with the Yakima Q towers, but I've also read that it isn't a great fit. Not sure what I'm going to do about that one. I hate to think I'm going to have to basically start over with my roof rack and accessories. I've got tons of bike mounts, baskets, and boat carriers for the Yakima round bar set up.

Check out Xoskel and DepHep ... both make custom racks, designed to drop into the factory roof rails. I'm sure either one could do cross bars with the same Yakima round bar diameter.

I know of them through The New X forum, but I'm sure they're on the other Nissan boards, too ... and probably have their own websites.
