I have a 2010 2WD Express that I installed a 5.5" lift/long travel suspension system in 2017. The coils that came with the kit sagged to the bump stops after maybe 15k miles, so I installed a set of Moog 81008 coils (direct replacement for a 6.0 Express 3500). These worked well for a while but they too have sagged to an unacceptable level. Moog offers the 81004 springs which are for the heavier diesel Express that have a resting length about a half inch longer and the same spring rate. I'm considering installing these to get a little extra ride height due to less weight on the front. However, I've been reading Moog springs all sag, and I don't want to replace my springs every 2 years.
I'm inclined to find a stock GM replacement spring in hopes they won't sag. I'm having a hard time nailing down the part number for springs used on the 6.6 diesel, but think GM P/N 20760347 is it. Can anyone confirm? They're a shorter resting length but a higher spring rate.
Are there other options out there that people have used to lift an Express with success?
