Includes the zip-in / removable GORE-TEX membrane for the jacket and the pants. The pull-tab on the main jacket zipper is broken. The zipper works great as I have attached a small split ring and pull tab to replace the original.

The patches were sewn on by a professional tailor.

This is an awesome piece of kit for your protection and comfort at a substantial savings. Note: I have also posted on ADVRider.

I agree, it is a "deal" at that price, but unfortunately, I have retired from adventure riding. I got into it with the sole purpose of long distance, self-sufficient overland travel via a dual sport motorcycle. My first motorcycle ever, was a BMW 650 Dakar, purchased in May 2006.

Three months later, I upgraded to the 1200GS Adventure.

What a bike! In the two years I rode, I was able to experience numerous adventures, including the Rockies, Sierra Nevada, Death Valley, the Mojave and two runs down the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (Canada to Mexico 90% off road).

It has been an incredible experience, one that I miss almost daily. I got into riding without my wife’s blessing. She was not on board in the beginning and it never got any better. She didn’t want to hear anything about my adventures or experiences. I decided that our marriage and her happiness were more important than my thrill. I sold the bike back to our local BMW Motorcycle shop and am now in the process of selling off the gear.

Not to worry though, we had a SPORTSMOBILE built to tackle many of the same routes and adventures that I was doing without her on the bike. Now we both can experience vehicle dependant overland travel together (and in a much more comfortable manner).

I’ll always miss the ride and all that goes along with it. Don’t cry for me though.

goodtimes

At least you got to enjoy it for a while.

I keep eyeing sportsmobiles now that my g/f travels with me (when I am not on the F800). Maybe someday I'll find a way to afford one....
