Factory Tire Carrier

This. The tire was supported by the bumper as well otherwise there would have been damage. Evolanders whole setup is impressive. 37's and stock axles, lockers, driveline, control arms, and he wheels it pretty hard.

I'm not sure I would say impressive. I'm running the same setup only I have a tire carrier. What I'm saying is 37's on D-44's is pretty common.

Not trying to create argument. Just saying it's not out of the ordinary.

This is an interesting thread. I've had my jeep since 07 and I installed a teraflex lift as soon as I could get my hands on one and promptly installed 35" tires with my spare on the stock carrier. Over the next 4-5 years my tailgate slowly took the shape of a deep fried tortilla shell. I also had the extended snubs and tried other various remedies to no avail. Just wanted to warn you guys who don't like mangled body panels and think you can get away with the stock carrier.

I also had 37" tires on my sport with a d30/d44 for a very long time with little to no issue until I saved enough money for my prorock44. When I got my front 44 I also purchased some 38.5" pitbulls and have been running them with no consequence for 2 years. The stock Dana 44s will run 37"-40" tires easily with the under powered minivan motors on the trails as long as you don't beat the crap out of your rig. The only issues I've had are trying to maintain highway speeds to and from the trail.

I know it's pretty common, I was more impressed that it's still going strong with 37's and stock axles and he wheels it pretty hard without any issues. A lot of people on the forums seam to stay away from 37's because of the issues said to have (stock axle shafts snapping, rubi lockers failing).

Ahhh. Ok, Just posting the picture is pretty misleading, tying it with the video definitely changes everything.
