Family Tent: Tahoe Gear Zion???

We're looking for a family tent for summer and fall Sierra and high desert car camping. We like the idea of a screened room, but it's not a must have feature. We've considered the Coleman Weathermaster Screened 6 and 8, the Eureka Copper Canyon and have recently noticed the Tahoe Gear Zion. I don't have an experience with Tahoe Gear products and am not finding an reviews on this particular tent. Have any of you had experience with this tent, or do you have other suggestions that we should consider? Thanks,

You were looking at a coleman because of the fabric I presume, you stated you wanted fall sierra and high desert camping.
Coleman's are canvas tents while the Tahoe is made of polyester.
It's my opinion canvas would do a better job at keeping your tent warm.
I've camped the sierra's in the fall in a nylon tent and it was uncomfortably cold.

I haven't tried using Tahoe Gear Zion either. I have a Eureka Copper Canyon 1312 and I can say that it's one of the best tent I've ever had. It has a detachable curtain that serves as a divider.

+1 on the Eureka Copper Canyon 1312

So far it's held up well after some 25 or so camping trips.
No problems with water during FL thunderstorms and +/- 30mph winds.
I have seam sealed it just in case. I use a tarp as a footprint.

Has an awning feature (hardly ever use), gear nets and an "E-port" on both sides to run power.

Note: The black thingies at the corners and at mid-span are the guy ropes. I've only used them if bad weather is expected.
Otherwise, with just a few stakes you don't really need them.

You can pick one up for under $300. Amazon usually has free shipping.

We're a family of 5...our usual layout is 1-queen air mattress and 3-twins.
Lots of space left for gear + walking around.

I can set it up by myself in 15 minutes. My kids can set it up as well...takes them around 20 mins.

Lots of windows, mesh ceiling, good ventilation. Gets a little cold in Winter, but hey, I live in FL and 60 degrees is cold.

You get a lotta bang for the buck with the Copper Canyon.

Yes the Copper Canyon looks good. I like that you can have a lot of air flow and visibility out at night. The Coleman tents don't seem to have the windows going lower on the walls like the Copper Canyon or the Tahoe Gear Zion (see link in OP for picture). The hinged door on the Coleman tents looks like it would be a very cool feature though.

I did see that someone finally did a customer review on Amazon on the Zion and gave it 5 stars. It looks like a nice tent to me for about $130-140 plus 20 for shipping. I would like to see one in person or hear of first-hand experience with one though.
