Almost everything I've done cheap, I've gone back in and done it again correctly. I don't want to come off like I'm saying every cheap mod doesn't work, but you generally compromise.

Ultra gauge. Nothing beats it for the peace of mind, and for 60 bucks, I'll call it cheap.

I repainted the headliner for about 25 bucks

I made vents in the bonnet of my RRC, above the exhaust manifolds using louvred vents I found at the junk yard. Lowered under hood temperatures at low speeds significantly.

Take off the sway bars if you haven't already. It'll jump around a little on the highway but if you can deal with that it makes for a big improvement on the trail. If you have a stock read bumper trim up the quarter panels and sides of the bumper. That area hangs a little low and tends to get snagged on departure frequently

Very cool, how do you do the headliner?

Pretty keen on this one. $10 generic "polished" bottle opener. Logo tag of a key ring that came with the car. Bit of glue, couple pop rivers.......happy days. A non genuine genuine looking accessory that should come standard with ever Defender.

Pull it down (if it isn't sagging all over already), be careful while removing interior pieces. Remove from vehicle, clean off headliner shell (the old adhesive takes some time to get off but isn't bad).

Paint with rubberized paint/bedliner/etc. let dry for a bit so the truck doesn't stink, re-install. I was going to pant mine tan overtop to match the interior but the wife liked the contrast so I just left it black.
