Fiamma Anwning

Swung out to Adventure Trailer on Thursday night and picked up my Fiamma awning. I got really lucky, cause their shipment came in 1 day before our trip. Since it was going to be 90-100 degrees in Anza i figured i'd get it on right away!

Here are some shots, the thing is truly perfect size. 6 foot x 6 foot. Doesnt look like it, but it is. Also, it's light as heck at 27lbs (instead of some out there that swing out with 2 arms that weight a ton!) I installed it myself with one hand on the awning and another threading in the bolts to my rack.

Once we figured out how to open the thing... it opened in 30 seconds.. and after a few times i could open myself without anyone assisting me. This was a plus too. The legs come right out of the unit. No need to get some poles out of the back of your rig or tie anything down. This setup is truly a breeze.

With one trip under it's belt, i have found it was worth every penney! Especially in 100 degree weather!

If you guys are interested in picking up one of these, just contact Mario or Martyn over at AT and they'll glady help you out like they did me. This is the same unit they equip their adventure trailers with.

On with the pics.

I had to relocate the tools to the passenger side. Special thanks to Sierra Expeditions for getting my quickfists out in such a timely manor.

Great setup!
I have a Fiamma on my AT and I love it!
Amazing Italian design...the retractable legs are super!
I'd recommend it also...

The Fiamma Awning is offered by Four Wheel Campers as an option on their campers. It's definitely on my wish list of upgrades. I really like the looks of their design and build quality.

Looks pretty sharp on your 80 too.

Nice looking awning but it looks like your tent and truck are providing most of the shade. ;)

If you're referring to the camp site pics with the tent deployed then you are correct. Those are just post install camp photos. In fact we didnt even use that side to sit under.. i just needed some pics.

Take a look at the lunch shot photos from the trail. It provides shade, trust me.:)

Over here, the guys also fit removable side panels so you can shield off sides in any configuration.
Also for the guys that live in the desert areas, some guys fit a water mister. Thin surgical type tubing with small brass fittings with pinholes.
This is rigged up on the edge of the awning so when you sit under it you are surrounded by a very fine mist inside your own outdoor aircon. Uses very little water.:)

I'm just being a smart a.. :ylsmoke: . It looks like something I need to add to my mod list. Have you had a chance to test it in any type of wind yet? It looks like it is free standing in your photos but I assume it has a couple of guy lines as well?
