Looks really good. I am a big fan of those awnings. Simple and light.

Also for the guys that live in the desert areas, some guys fit a water mister. Thin surgical type tubing with small brass fittings with pinholes.
This is rigged up on the edge of the awning so when you sit under it you are surrounded by a very fine mist inside your own outdoor aircon. Uses very little water.
I have a 7 nozzle mister that works with a 3/8" hose. I have it connected to a 2.5 Gallon (water) fire extinguisher at 100psi but could also be hooked up to a pesticide sprayer (as long as you can get over 50psi). The mister can go through 2.5 gallons in about 15-18 minutes. It really saved us on one trip when the temperature hit 114 degrees! There is definitely a quality difference in the nozzles. The better quality nozzles will require higher pressure but will also produce a finer mist cloud. You'll get more dripping "wet" with the lesser quality ones. But they all do a great job of cooling.Steve Curren said:Since I live in the desert Southwest I have been thinking about the mister that was mentioned. I saw a mister system at a store which has a 3/8 hose on it, I wonder if a pump type sprayer could be hooked to the system and make the mister work? Can any of the folks out there who have a great mind please let me know if I would be wasting time and money?
