Thanks,

Yes, I have owned them before. They are great. Last one I should have kept but I do like the bumpers on the new one.

When my wife comes back from Tanzania I've been trying to talk her into one of these.
But she keeps wanting a Toyota Panjaro, she is not understanding we can't get them here PLUS I want another Jeep to add to the 3 I have already!
Since you know them well having owned one before, whats the best " package" to have??

If you can afford it, Limited FDII. Ours is really base model. I have manual windows, mirrors, locks etc. I do have AC and cruise which is required for us. But as you see from the price, it's really affordable. I have 150kms on it now and its like coming home. Very comfortable.

thanks Scott. It is awesome in the winter. My 2010 was almost unstoppable. I have to get a good set of winter tires.....and a good set of summer tires as well really. The firestones on it are JUNK.

Should be a fun little build. What are the plans for it?

Right after Christmas, I am ordering the RRO lift, front light mount/bar, supersliders, New 16" wheels for summer with bigger tires, some sort of roof rack setup, tinting the windows, adding some interior stuff.

First thing is to get an auto start on it.

Thanks Brian. I have been doing some more reading. The wife loves the wheels that are on it, so we are going to keep those, add 1.25" spacers and run 235/65/17s with no lift. I have seen one like this and its really good looking and performing. We really don't need a lift as we have my JKU for that stuff.

The roof rack will be a combo of ebay bars and basket. very low profile and functional as well.

OK, I know this is an OLD TOPIC, but I'm the exact same way on the lift. The BFG KO2 in 225/65R17 will tackle everything you can throw at a FDII. Also with such conflicting "reviews" on the RRO spacer lift I'd rather keep it AsStockAsPossible and enjoy the longevity and capability of a STOCKISH vehicle.

Me personally I'm going for more of a TrailHawk/RubiconX approach. OEM but with just a "TOUCH" of umph

Yeah, check the softroader thread here. Jhill just put moog springs on his, and 235s. the moog springs will take the weight better than stock springs for gear etc. I think I'm going to install them on it, and the 235s on my stock wheels with spacers. I had a FDII but I traded it for my JKU. There were a couple of things I didn't like about my 2010 pat, the CVT was horrid. I hated it and it was always going back to the dealer for reprograms etc. Just terrible....I have another in my audi A4 and it's just as bad. and the second thing was the leaky sunroof. our 2015, have neither and its MUCH BETTER.
