Hello everyone,

Finally remounting my CVT Mt. Rainer RTT to my new to me Nissan Frontier.... several of the slide plates that goes into the mounting track have stripped out so I would like to purchase a new set which would be 8 slide plates and bolts in addition to the flat plates.. many of the websites I've looked at seem to be out of stock or backordered.. can anyone lead me in the right direction for the right price. I see the complete set for anywhere from $30-$40

basically everything in the picture of the hardware and also a picture of the Tent up on top of the Frontier... for fitting purposes.. it was taken off afterwards until I find the hardware.

Do you need all of them or just a few? I have 1 or 2 you can have.

I probably have a metric crap ton of them, but it will take a while to ship cross country.

have You considered alternative cross bars?I find it hard to beat Unistrut and it is available at Home Depot with all the special nuts and everything.

Did you contact CVT? Last time I needed some, I just got in touch with Bobby and he sent me some. They're normally pretty good at taking care of their people.

Duh... why didn't I think of that!... Thanks!!! I'll reach out to him. I did find them on 4wheelparts.com for about 16 bucks.......they're ARB's but similar.

I'll buy full lengths and I'll cut and drill them myself if necessary.... the aluminum piece that goes into the track.... help!!!!!! I need them!!

Not my picture but I found this on the web of someone else who had the same issue I did..... Mine looks exactly like this for the most part... the bolt head spins freely and the aluminum is very thin around the hole

I have no idea how you did that. Mine are super tight and bend the steel plates in, and dont even have marks from the bolt.

I have a hunch that whoever installed this for me the first time around didn’t fully seat the bolt down when tightening.... it was bought secondhand

Yes, drill another hole, or use a jam nut on the other side to keep them tight, or solder them down?

Or drill for 1 size larger then file the bolt heads square until they are snug.

However: You really don’t need those aluminum tracks. You can replace them with steel Unistrut from Home Depot or similar and use the nuts that are already designed for the strut.

I’ll look around today and see how many extra aluminum parts I can find. I’ll drop you a PM if I can make up a set and still have enough left to cover the tent I’m selling in case someone wants them.
