Beginning of March 2010... It's starting to warm up and I couldn't hold myself back from loading up some gear and to head out.
I started in Downtown Victoria,BC Canada. The destination was Ruckle Prov. Park on Salt Spring Island. A 50km bike ride. A good part of it is on public multi use trails, low traffic roads and a 35minute ferry ride. The first part of the trip is mostly flat and very easy to ride. On Salt Spring you are dealing with a couple of steep and mean hills that can drag on for over 1km... Not a bit deal on a empty roadbike, but with all the gear and being out of shape, it was torture :coffeedrink:
As you can see in the video, I was the only camper:victory:
If you are ever in the area, try out Ruckle! It's worth it!!!
