Hi Everyone, toyota freak here,
Just stumbled on this site, looks to be very informative with a great bunch of helpful members.
My wife drives a 2001 Tacoma D-Cab with a heavy camp shell on the back, we bought the truck brand new in 01
This truck is in need of serious suspension work, the truck is a non TRD version with stock everything underneath. Every little bump in the road is a complete bottom out. The truck will never go off road, might see a bit of cargo in the back...horse saddles etc. nothing major. I have tons of experience with OME on land cruisers FJ60's 80's and 40's, but no experience with taco suspension and OME (don't think they make a stock length)
Never will go offroad ?????? ya, wife is real particular with here toyota vehicles (yes she has many) and we also have quite a few other off road worthy toyotas that are fully capable and do not mind a little scrapeage.
Can someone recommend a stock...>no lift<... suspension for the truck, I have thought about donahoe coilovers and deaver springs in the back...but need something more simple and done asap !! (cheaper)
what would you say about add a leaf in the back and some recommended shocks all the way around ?
Thanks for the help...
