Thanksgiving wasnt much different from last year (weather conditions-wise).
Snow level stayed nice and low at 2500ft, making it just fun with all of its fresh powdery snow.
We ended up taking Hwy46 from Detroit, over the pass and south Skyline Rd entrance to Olallie Lake right off the powerlines.
Everything was great, until we reached the crazy rocky slope right before Breitenbush Lake.
That was the part where we turned back, after trying to winch forward... Various large rocks had fallen down and were covered up by the snow, making it pretty touch to get around in these slicky conditions.
Returning back to Hwy46, and going north further, we just took the next signed "Olallie Lake" road, and used that (basically accessing Olallie from North, via North Skyline Road). Stayed the night in the warming hut as we do most of the other times when we can to see Olallie in the daytime.
Night was bright with no clouds in the sky, moon & stars were shinning bright.
