First Trailer Project

I've had what I believe to be an M101A3 (someone correct me if i'm wrong) trailer for almost a year, finally starting to fit for our family needs. :wings: I plan to eventually have water, electric, paint to match the truck and roof top tent. I'm pretty excited now that it is starting to take shape. I just started this week, hope to have the trailer prepped for paint and the cap mounted for good in the next few weeks. I'll take the existing wiring out and start fresh so I know what's going on in there. Progress overall will be slow but I do plan on keeping the pace steady. I'm open to suggestions and criticism. This is my first project and our style of camping is normally campgrounds. :( The kids enjoy it wherever we are, hopefully we will expand that down the road.

Looks like you got some good parts to start your project with. Looking forward to seeing more on your build progress!

Made some progress on the trailer this weekend. Got the rest of the hardware pulled off. The box is held on with about 12 bolts which "only" took me 3 hours to get them off. I only had to cut 1 but I will be replacing all of the hardware anyway.

At this point I needed a hand getting the utility cap off of the trailer. I can do it by myself but it sucks and my wife was home so I made her help. Bonus wife pic

Back to it now...It was time to get the box off the frame. I'm a work smarter not harder type of guy...

I had some extra time so I decided to repack the bearings

Then I decided to wire brush the trailer to get it ready for primer.

Now that I have that done, i need to wash and degrease it real good so I can primer and paint it black. I also need to pull the axle off so I can prep and paint it as well. Then I can move on the box and paint the bottom of it so I can set it back on the frame for prep and paint. Hopefully I can have the box on by the end of this week since I'll be out of town camping this weekend.
