FJ Cruiser 16" Wheels for 4Runner?

No luck with input on the Tacoma/Truck/4Runner forum so I deleted my thread there and I'm posting this here with the hope some FJ Cruiser guys will know something.

Does anyone know the specifications of the FJ Cruiser TRD wheels. I know they are 16x 7.5", but what about the backspacing & off-set? Are they the same as my 06 4Runner, and I assume '05-up Tacomas? I'm guessing since the FJ and 4Runner platforms are so similar that they will fit well. But fitting and fitting the same are two different things. I don't like my tires/wheels to stick out, one of the negatives of aftermarket wheels in my opinion. I already have a set of 16x8" Ultra wheels with different offset/backspacing that stock, making them stick out more, and would like to relegate these to my Chaser and as spares, as they fit both the trailer and the 4Runner.

I was planning on buying 3 takeoffs to match my stock 16x7" wheels, using my factory spare to make a second set of 4 (from these guys: http://www.capitalwheels.com). But at $175.00 each, it will cost me $525 for only three, not including the $25.00 center cap. From http://toyotapartspeople.com/ I can buy 4 new TRD 16x7.5" wheels for 126.50 each, making it less for a set of 4 ($506.00) than three stockers. Is there a better/cheaper place to buy Toyota parts? This seems like a great price on new factory aluminum wheels!

Do these TRD wheels have plastic center caps like my 4Runner wheels? Kind of looks like they don't (good) but it's hard to tell from the few pictures I've seen. Do they come in both silver & black? I just 'discovered' these wheels in a short thread here on The Portal which I can't seem to find again, and started thinking about them for the Mall Crawler.

Though I like the look and feel of a 'sleeper' it would be nice to have my wheels look different for each set of tires. One minor negative is that they are 7.5-inches wide instead of 7-inches like my stock wheels. I don't plan on ever mounting wider than 265-mm wide tires and the narrower wheels are better for holding the bead when aired-down. But this is a small difference of half and inch and I could always use the pretty TRD wheels for my A/Ts and the stock sevens for the M/Ts and off-highway.

Input and opinions please.

Yeah they will bolt on. That’s high price though. Check your local dealer. sometimes they will have "take off's". My local dealer use to resell them and they would let them go with tires and less the 50 miles in most cases for $400-500.

www.craigslist.com Sometimes see them there. Hit all your local 4x4 boards.
http://www.tacomaterritory.com/ they show up on there all the time.
On the local board a set of factory wheels usually goes $200-400 depending on the model wheel. Not to sound bad but that wheel is not as popular style so they go for around $300 if you are patient.

The highly sought after Ivan's. $550 obo bet they sold for $450. Last set took forever to sell and I think that’s what they went for.

Wow, I thought that $126.50 each was a great price for a new, factory TRD alloy wheels. Thanks for the other links. I have bought take-offs before, it's just a matter if I prefer the style.

I'm still leaning towards these TRDs for $126.50 each plus shipping, OR 3 16x7 stock 4Runner alloys, which are probably harder to find cheap as cheap take-offs. Most 4Runners and FJs come with 17s. This is the reason I'm considering buying them from that place is So. Cal for $175.00 each because I can get them.

That costs so much but I have to agree that the more expensive those wheels are, the better quality and performance they have. I was just looking for answers to the same problem I have. Good thing you posted those links.

Couldn't seem to find what I was looking for in those links mentioned. couldn't also seem to find one for myself. Ideas, anyone?

If I find something, would gladly post the link here to share.:)

Alright, been checking those links out, pretty good offers and deals. Saw a better product from this Toyota wheels place. Incase anyone was just wondering if I already found replacements and where I found them, just had the thought of sharing.
