Flip-pac and carpet kit for SHORT BED GMC AND CHEVROLET For Sale - $1000.00

This camper is in good shape with the exception of the paint. The paint (on the top) is sun damaged…typical for the Central California summers. The tent part has not rips.

I have a carpet kit included as well. This is not a homemade kit. It was purchased along with the camper. It is good structural shape, but the carpet appears to be faded and a bit dirty.

I don’t know exactly how old this is, as my father whom as passed away had this on his truck for several years.

Camper is located in Hanford, California (93230)

If you are interested, or would like to see more pictures, please contact me. john.p.russo@email.com. Attached are photos of the camper when it was installed on the truck

I went and looked at this yesterday and took measurements. It is not a good fit for my T100 or the Tundra I hope to buy, but it is a good deal...and the sellers are very nice people.

Here are the measurements:

LOA: 81"
Width (Across front): 73"
Width (across rear): 74.5"
Height to clear cab:24.5"

Interior dimensions:
Interior width:60.5 - 61.5"
Interior length:77"
shoulder width (carpeted flange are"a the rests on bed rail): 7.25"

My gut tells me this will fit more than a GM p/u. It is just about 2" too long for my T100. The upholstered sections probably fit perfectly into the GM shortbed, but may also fit other vehicles, too, just not a snugly.

Otherwise, it is as represented and can be cleaned up to be a very nice camper.

Hope this helps...

Sorry to here it won't fit the t100. I can see why with the measurements you posted. They seem kind of odd. Most all newer trucks tapper down in size from front to back. You can see it sits to big on the backside of the Chevy. It seems to fit it ok and the measurements seem to back up the odd shape of this cap. Maybe its not made for a Chevy when it was new.

99-05 Chevy shortbed is 81.5 long, 70 wide front and 68 wide rear.
04-05 Ford 150 shortbed is 81.25 long, 72 wide front and 69 wide rear.
97-03 Ford 150 shortbed is 81.25 long, 69 wide front and 69 wide rear.
73-87 Chevy shortbed is 79.25 long, 72 wide front and 72 wide rear.

SuperDuty Fords are to big for this cap at 84.25 long and 75Front/70 Rear

I took more measurements than the ones I posted. There is a shoulder/flange where the cap mounts to the bed rail. The shoulder does taper down from front to back.

I have been looking everywhere for this information. Where did you get this? It looks like the measurements are taken from the outside edges of the bed, right? Looks like this cap will fit a Ford better than a Chevy.

I have pretty much committed to buying this. I will fetch it with my T100. I am selling my 2wd Toyota and my Jeep. Using the proceeds from those vehicles, I will buy a 4x4 p/up. Looks like this will fit more than just the Chevy.

Good luck. Great to have another Flip Pac owner here! I don't remember where I got the info. Its in a file with most pickups from 73-2005. I have one more file that list trucks up to 2009. Found it on google after about a hour of looking. It was not easy to find.

Share the love! We would all love to save that data away in a safe place!

Pickup Bed size downloads

Bed length only PDF

Bed size word doc

Just uploaded to my ftp.
The word doc is a set of pictures placed in word. These pictures have the info for pickup bed Length x Width as well as Width at the front and Width at the back of the bed.(very important) The PDF file just has length of the bed but I use it to cross-reference the word doc.

I added the info on the Ford Splash & EDGE FLARESIDE to the bottom of the word doc as there was no info on this truck. I did this because I think a commercial cap like ARE for a Ford Ranger step side will fit a M416 trailer.

Louie,

Thanks for hosting that. I tried to "save as" the "pickup bed size.doc" and it told me it was read only...so I copied and pasted each "image" into a new .doc and now I have it locally. I hope you don't mind...
