Hi,
This is a great resource. :luxhello: Thanks to all the experienced folks who post here. I've learned a lot just lurking and reading the many valuable threads.
I'm interested in a Flippac camper for my Tacoma double cab TRD long box. If I can swing it, this will be the first addition, among many as I equip the truck for expedition travel. Here's the catch: I want to bring a 9' surfboard along. Has anyone figured out a way to rack something this long with a Flippac? Where there's a will there's a way right? Maybe there's not in this case. I may be forced to look at one of these (http://www.isurfing.com/pope_bisect.html) to fit it in the box, but they are a little pricey.
Other options I'm considering are lightweight popup campers like this http://www.fourwheelcampers.com/hawk.html (easy to rack a couple boards on top but heavy and not something I could leave on the truck full-time) or a custom double decker rack with enough room for a couple surfboards under a rooftop tent. Advice? Any thoughts on the Flippac in general? They look pretty nifty.
