Fog lights

I put leds in my dash on my ram. Blue led for the highbeam indicator. Now I cant use the highbeams lol. Same thing. Dam led screws up my night vision. I need to take it back apart and either put a resistor in there or go back to the blub. I leave my dash lights up in town. On the interestate I to always dim my lights.

My take on foreground lighting, at speed you want to see objects with enough time to react to them. That being said your eyes are drawn to light as well. Heavy/bright foreground lighting reduces the ability to see something in the road ahead of you. Especailly on motorcycles. I shake my head at everyone that drives around town with their fog lights on. Maybe its a cool thing?

I got a set of halo projector foglights for my truck out of a junkyard, cheap and an experiment. I am hooking the halo up to the turnsignals as I put amber leds in there. The foglights take a h3 bulb as well. Bench testing showed decent foglight style cutoffs. If I dont like them or are bad for foglights, I will cut the mounting bracket off and adapt them to a set of Bosch compact 100 fogs I have.

Hilldweller, whats wrong with the lightforce? Was interested in them. More as a driving light offroad light. OR do you mean using them as foglights, which completely agree they arent good for. Leading to what about useing their different lenses? Never used them or seen them on in person.

I haven't seen every single Lightforce product so I'm no expert on them...
But their claims for the product certainly raise concerns and the performance of the lights I've seen left me very unimpressed overall.
The ones I've seen threw a ton of light here and there but not in a way that helped you see well. It was a terrible pattern, hot and cool spots.
Their lens claims are gimmicky, fly in the face of science, especially what they claim for their blue lens.
In their favor, they're very durable and don't weigh much. I have no use for them though.

I agree with the comments about the dash lights. Our Saab actually had a button (black dash I think) that turns off everything but the speedo light.
