I built a two person, folding sleeping platform for my second gen Transit Connect a few years back. It lets you have the middle seats up then fold out to a near full size bed.
Then I had a kid to make three people in the family and the platform got less use as I needed to remove the car seat every night someone had to use a tent anyway and so it was less useful. Now we're moving and I don't think I'll take it so if anyone would like it, I'm happy to pass it along. I'm in Western Massachusetts. I use a couple of cam/ratchet straps with it that someone would need, but other than that, it's good to go.
The platform was built to fit snugly in the Transit Connect, but I presume it could work with other vehicles if they have similar dimensions. Dimensions are ~40Lx46W fro the rear frame/top. There is then a separate folding section which sits on top then folds out over the middle seats. It has storage space in the center when folded that I use to put my bedding during the day. The extended platform is ~46x76.
If anyone is interested, just let me know.
