Food storage inside fridge

plastic.

Just saw them at costco, but its a kit and many sizes might be useless. Once you figure which sizes work best you will need more of them. I like the 2.x, 4.7, 7.3 cups.

Perhaps I wasnt clear on my comment about stacking. All the various sizes are the same basic size, just single or double wide and taller. Thats confusing but what it means is that two singles will have the same footprint as the double wide. The fooprints are compatible and the sizes vary vertically.

I don't want glass. Heavier and it breaks. Only some of the sizes are needed for the fridge and you can only put so many in a 45 quart Engel. The other container sizes will be used for food storage outside of the fridge. At this price it is cheaper than buying onesie-twosie of just a few perfect sizes at Target or Walmart

Was it with a paper coupon or in-store instant rebate?

In-store.

The round ones are not expo-rated, use at home. the square ones are the ones you want:

2x 1.25c
2x 2.8c
2x 4.7c
3x 2c
1x 10.8c

There are a couple other "maybes" in there, but these are the footprint compatibles.

Theres a 7.3c one thats not included, double square footprint, just taller. Locate otherwhere.

When I was through Costco last week they had a instant coupon on a few larger ones in a set. Was maybe $9 ?

Vacuum sealing reduces volume and extends food shelf life but most systems require a bulky electric vacuum pump/heat sealing unit and rolls of special plastic sheet.

ZIPLOC Vacuum Freezer Bags come in quart and gallon size, with a small hand pump to remove air from the bag with the familiar ZIPLOC sealing seam. A heavy mil plastic designed for frozen foods they're durable enough for the outdoors and frequent handling. I find it easy to use in the field and increases the usable space in my fridge, but also handy for dry goods that normally are packaged in boxes. Also good for storing documents and valuables where a low oxygen waterproof state could be desirable.

My climbing team did that for our supplies for Denali because we had to pack for 3 weeks worth of food. For me it is always a tradeoff between number of people and number of days and available space for food
