Based on a 2001 Mercedes Actros, originally exported to the middle east, this truck was custom build for overland expeditions with highest comfort.
In 2008/09 the truck was fully services with new parts and the cabin was build by Cabby.
As the engine is EURO 2 compliant it can be run with lesser quality fuel as found in most african, russian and middle eastern countries.
Nonetheless the engine´s emission classification can be improved to EURO 4 compliancy.

I know this from the Land Rover Defender, but why does it apply to a truck that´s legally imported and driven in the USA and Canada already?
Mercedes ACTROS 6x6 may not be common but are sold and used in the US and Canada, aren´t they?

Mercedes heavy truck presence in North America is represented by Freightliner. I don't think you can buy Mercedes branded trucks here apart from Mogs and sprinters. North America is probably the worst part of the world for Mercedes heavy truck parts as well. By the way I have a 1995 MB917AF shipping here tomorrow(I hope). If you can determine your vehicles admissibility into NA that would make it easier to sell. Good luck, nice rig.
Legally shipped to NA temporarily and permanently are very different. You can bring in almost anything that is legal in your home jurisdiction temporarily. To sell it here you must meet import requirements. Also the tax is quite hefty, local taxes plus 6.1% for non NAFTA vehicles (20% here in Ontario).
