We’ve held on for long enough, now it’s time to let this super rare gem go to a new home just in time for Camping Season 2024!! The Flippac is currently on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. It has an 8 foot bed. We’ve enjoyed camping in our Flippac very much over the years, but we find ourselves not using it as much due to new interests. So please explore below and in the photos (only 10 allowed) what we have to offer….
The Canvas: The canvas was replaced in 2012, I believe. It is completely intact with no holes and can withstand a light rain all-on-its-own. We have a rain fly for heavier storms we are including as well. All the windows in the canvas are in great shape with no holes, the zippers work and the screens are good-to-go. The canvas had a DWR treatment 4 yrs ago. All interior tent poles and connection points are solid with no repairs.
Also included is a nearly new 4 inch memory foam mattress with a top-down-filled zippered washable cover (cover not shown in photo) from The Company Store.
The Shell: The mounting rails are in good shape with no rot and topper clamps are included. The fiberglass shell is in fair condition with no huge significant UV damage. There are a few cracks as shown in one of the photos. Our Flippac also comes with two bed-section stabilization rods and truck hood attachment clips. The torsion bar was replaced 2019 and is still functioning just fine. Crank is included to open and close the camper. Interior rod tension mounts, bars and and canvas “roof” keep your closed Flippac and mattress stored up-and-above in your topper. Glass windows are all intact. There is a slide window in the front, a brand new locking rear window / new lift supports in the back and the side windows have screens for additional ventilation. There are two interior lights along with interior carpet. The carpet is in decent shape with no smell although it does have a few insignificant wear points. We also have curtains for all the truck windows we are happy to include if buyer desires.
Bonus: included is a passenger side mounted 6 foot long ARB awning, which we only used twice so it’s in fabulous shape.
The Flippac has such an interesting history and they are truly such rare finds, especially those for long bed trucks. To quite another Flippac seller….. “If you know, you know.” The original sticker says this Flippac was made by FRP in October 1997. We are the second owners, as far as we know and overall - this Flippac is pretty awesome! It’s a bit dirty from the long-dusty-road traveled, so it needs some love for sure with a good spring time washing inside and out. It could also use another DWR treatment for the tent within the next year or so. It’s a super fun way to camp and it’s ready to hit the road now with zero significant structural issues. Asking $4500 cash only. Located in Evergreen, CO about 40 min west of Denver metro. Can also be seen or picked-up in Golden, CO.
