Just switched to a Fiberine fixed top and my pop top is up for sale.

Location: Central Valley, CA (Just east of Stockton, CA)

Details:

- EB top for a Ford Econoline
- Canvas is in A+ condition and has the window package where the window screens zip all the way out. I think its called the "photo package". One super small tear on a seam from a bear.
- Internal crossbars are straight and function as new (never anything on the roof. Not even racks).
- Top comes with everything you need to mount it AND if you are handy everything you need to make it motorized (actuators and some custom parts along with step by step photo instructions).
- New stainless hardware for the roof from this forum.
- Monstaliner for the roof with all application accessories.

I was going to keep this top and put it on another van but I had a baby and my van project time is now basically non existent.

Top + everything you need to spruce it up = $5500

Top is located right off the 99 freeway east of Stockton, CA. I have pallets and a forklift and can get you loaded up quick and easy.

How do you like the fiberine compared to the pop top? There are a million threads out there...but not many people have back to back experiences with both options!

No comparison! I have had 2 pop top vans and I would never go back to a pop top again after having the Fiberine. Wish I would have made the switch sooner. Pop top really only wins if you use your van for weekend camping trips where you travel light, don't use the roof for storage, and are off road camping where it is quiet and safe from theft and the detritus of humanity in general.

Fixed top is weatherproof, warmer/cooler, always setup and ready to rock, you can stand up, and adds a ton of extra square footage to the van. We use our van as a traveler for weeks/months at a time so the daily grind of pop top up and down and "setting up" the living space gets old fast. Did 2.5 years with my wife in an RB Econoline w a pop top. I would kill to go back in time and do those 2.5 years in a high top!!

What did you do for sleeping setup? And do you sleep 2 or 4?

I need to sleep 4, which is my only concern w the hardtop...the upper bunk might end up pretty cramped, especially for two growing kids...

I've used my pop top heavily for the last 19 years, and am looking into a fixed top of some sort on my next van. I love the view. Mostly I'm switching now because I want a bed I don't have to make every night.

The Fiberine would be more appealing to me if it was covered in windows.
