Hi ExPos, after traveling the americas, we sell our wonderful Bushcamper

Toyota HZJ75, Year 2004, 470000 KM, 4.2L Diesel:
complete Expedition/Camping-Exuitpment...
complete History and in great shape...
legally registered in Australia...

We bought it in Australia/Perth from Boomerang-Campers
shipped it to Chile, drove through CHI, ARG, URU, BRA, BOL, PERU, ECU, COL
shipped it to PANAMA driving through Costa Rica heading north.

Can this really be registered in the US legally? How about by a US citizen but resident of Mexico or another Central American country? If so could said resident bring it in and drive it here?

No it could not be imported/registered legally. Unless you wanted to wait till it was 25 years old.
It could be bonded into the US but the duration of the bond could vary. Max in many cases is 1 year.

But to import the truck and register it would not happen legally.

Same goes for Canada, it can't be imported until 2019 when it's 15 years old.
