Location: Aromas, CA, just outside of Santa Cruz.
I recently bought a 4x4 astro van that I'm building out and unfortunately only have room for one van in my driveway. Parting ways with my 2003 chevy express 3500 camper I built(260k miles, 6L V8 engine, RWD, Automatic). It's been featured in the pages of the New York Times and was documented on my build guide, The Vanual. Instead of just selling the van to the highest bidder, I’d like to see if I can trade one of my things for one of your things.
Ideal trade would be a street legal dual sport bike. Something like a DR650, DR-Z400 or WR250R. But open to anything I can have an adventure with: small sailboat, scuba gear, flight lessons. Lets hear it! Im hoping the van will find good use in someone else's hands.
Comes with Goal Zero Solar system, BFG KO2 tires, aluminum rack and the somewhat rare "Access Package" from Chevy. While the interior is still a functional camper, years of trucking through snowy mountain roads and deep baja deserts have taken a toll on the van itself. It needs to go to someone with deeper mechanical knowledge and more time than myself. It starts and drives, but will need some TLC before its ready for another cross country trip.
