I just rented a 2014 Thor 23' RV with that engine, and got around 7.5 mpg.

Great power, and a durable engine, but man is it thirsty.

Probably 10-12 ish in a van. But yeah the RV bodies kill mileage. I get ~8 if I keep it at 60 or less, pushing 4x4 running gear though.
