Ford Excursion with a high top??

Has anyone seen or heard of one? I saw CCV did a conversion on an X with a pop top but I don't think I have seen one with a high top or something similar. If it can be done with a Ford E Series van, theoretically it should be able to be done to an X right? I'm thinking something like a cruiser top from sportmobile.

I have 0 interest in trying or financing the project...just curious for the badassness.

Ryan ended up selling the excursion before the pop top was complete, but I think the top itself still exists somewhere...

Thanks for the link. I have seen that build a few times and it is very impressive!

In his build thread. If you go to Page 6, post #55. The blue van in the background of his picture. I'm talking something like that top/conversion. The high top with the windows or one without windows...either works!

That blue van is mine.

Never seen anything like that for anything other than a van. I'm sure you could adapt one from a van without too much trouble...similar wheelbases.

I'd think an existing high top for maybe an astro or the like would work.
