I'm laying over a grand of twisties to the terra- and axle wrap is real. the rig weighs over 11k#'s, and having that kind of stationary weight attached on by four shackles is asking quite a bit of it, no?

i run PMF traction bars. I don't heavily offroad. if i did I may look more toward OUO traction bars. I can tell you from first hand use- it's night and day. shifts are smoother- can only be felt by acceleration not by snap, and the pinion angle doesn't get slapped about.... < and that is the reason I did it. pinion angle. the integrated lift blocks are outstanding and far surpass those silly blocks and longer ubolts.

suspension travel is unaffected.

Do you have a full lift system from pmf or just the traction blocks?

i started out with a rough country lift.... with intentions of swapping it out, which I've done. the only thing remaining of it is the springs. they are 4.5 and feel/work fine. I can't imagine carli or any other springs would work any better- and it kinda cracks me up anyway because there are only so many actual manufacturers of those things, and I wager most of the aftermarket springs are made by the same outfit (to different specs, to be fair- but same base stock).

I have PMF traction bars and integrated blocks out back. I have PMF three link arms up front along with PMF panhard rod. I think trevor (PMF) has since started putting the serviceable heim joints on his panhard rods, mine has the heim but it isn't serviceable. I appreciate his attention to detail in his builds- his welds are spectacular. I slapped the three links on and measured to a 16th inch when he called for a 32nd in his instructions, and had both sides precise- took all of an hour and a half- i dialed in right at 5* castor (which is something the RC took away from me) and took it to the shop to have it aligned the next morning. surprise surprise- the tech came and got me- i slipped him a $20 for his troubles, but it didn't need to be aligned at all... me, those instructions provided by trevor, a tape measure some twine and stakes- and it was perfectly aligned... he makes a quality product.

My old '81. 79 straight 6, 4 speed, and 3.50 axles out of an '86 w/ a posi. Tested out the new tire chains yesterday, worked like a champ.
Cant decide whether to build this one up or make something out of the wife's 2012.

Finally reset the value for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System using FORScan. Not to be confused with a Bris and did not require a Mohel.

I think the coolest part of that announcement is that you would now be able to use your truck as a generator. I feel like the is something that should have been available for decades, and not just a power inverter like gm did awhile back

Here is my rig, it's a 2004 Ford F250 Super Duty 4WD PU, with the 6.8 L Triton V10 and the Super Cab.

I purchased it used with the A.R.E. camper shell in 2011, and added the wheels, new Michelin LT265/75R16 tires, running boards, and an aFe Power Magnum FORCE Performance Air Intake System. No matter what I do to it though, it still only gets 9 mpg

As a temporary measure, I installed a Draw-tite front receiver hitch in the stock bumper, so I can use a Warn XD9000i winch mounted in a cradle with it. This will eventually be replaced with a full size winch bumper and a 12,000 lb. - 15,000 lb. winch once I find the right deal. The smaller XD9000i winch will then be used for the rear bumper, or on the ambo/camper trailer I'm building. I will also be installing a dual battery system using the Blue Sea Systems ARC, as soon as I can find or build a place to carry the second battery. As you can see in the picture above, there is '0' space for another battery under the hood, so it's going to have to go down on

This vehicle is my daily driver, but I'm also building it out as a tow vehicle for the ambo/camper trailer I'm building. Eventually, I'll swap out the tires for something a little more aggressive like maybe some Toyo Open Country M/Ts or something. No rocks or mountains in the Florida panhandle, just sand and mud so I don't need anything too radical. Besides, I'm not going to get far dragging a 6,000 lb. trailer anyway.

I had a 2001 v10 for a while. Look to see if the y pipe necks down...best bang for the buck....better than cat back exhaust and tuner. Picked up 1 mpg lol. You v
Can buy just that piece and not change out the whole ypipe. Cost me 90 for the y pipe piece and a shop charged 100 to weld it in.

Thanks for the info, but for 1 mpg I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.

I'm retired now, and don't really put enough miles per month on it anymore to really be a problem. If I used it on a long trip, it would be though. I'll check that pipe and see what I have.

I ordered some Fox 2.0 IFP shocks for my F350 this morning. I chose those over any of the Fox reservoir, Kings, Icons, etc because I drive mostly on highway or slow off road.

I have had my new shocks on since the 17th with about 200 miles and they are a massive improvement over the rough country shocks that were on it before. Night and day difference.

They still aren't 'perfect' which I know can be achieved with custom valving on a different shock but I will stick with these for a while.
