2006 Ford F250 CrewCab 4×4 Diesel 6.0L.
This is the ultimate long range expedition vehicle designed and built to take the whole family or load of friends adventuring. With over 400 HP and 725+ ft. lbs. of torque and capable of over 650 miles of fuel range this machine will keep you and your group living in comfort on the trail with 70 gallons of fresh water storage and a solar powered auxiliary system.
This build was conceptualized by long time Baja adventurer Ryan Mitchell and was built by SRD (Strategic Racing Designs) in Vista, CA. Approx $65k invested in the build.
The 6.0L diesel engine has $10k in upgrades with BulletProof Diesel adding 50+ HP and 150+ ft. lbs. keeping the stock tune to make it reliable as possible.
Fully built heavy duty transmission and re-geared diffs with Detroit Locker in the rear and ARB Locker in the front.
Custom built roof rack capable of holding over 2000lbs. Monster Yakima lockbox, aluminum race jack.
LED area lighting and light bar.
Folding Tepui Rooftop tent big enough for 6’5″ guy with custom ladder, surf racks and more.
Extended range Titan 65 gallon diesel tank. (11-14 mpg)
70 gallon pressurized domestic water system with propane fired water heater for showers, washing dishes, etc.
Custom bed slide storage system which includes high quality kitchen sink and stove, large restaurant grade stainless prep area on the back of the tailgate.
Custom front and rear bumpers with skid plate on the front and rear accommodates a 39″ spare.
Custom SRD electrical system. 4 batteries, 2 for the vehicle and 2 for accessories and auxiliary systems. All controlled by marine grade switches for either/or or both/simultaneous use. Option to power with the attached solar panel which is sized to charge the previous nights use load in under 4 hours of moderate sun. System can be plugged into a 110v outlet which will run and charge the system. It also recharges with the heavy-duty alternator system.
