My 2016 Transit was horrible. Had to replace the lame exhaust manifold at 72k miles and tranny was failing. Many other issues. I pulled a 3.5 k pound trailer and it is a bad tow vehicle.

"I have 76 Transits in my fleet, and this video way, way overstates the difficulty of working on these vans.. We have 20 vans with over 200,000 miles and never lost an engine or turbo.

We use an on-car brake lathe on the front brakes and the rotor can usually be turned twice before replacement, and the rear axles are literally a 30-second job to pull when doing rear rotors. Never had an issue changing front rotors either, but admittedly, they don’t salt the roads here.
The subframe issue is only a problem in places where they brine the roads in winter, we’ve probably pulled thirty subframes and never run into a single fastener issue or ruined a control arm.
While the old Econolines were easier to deal with, the Transits aren’t really that bad."

The comments are more realistic.
