Ford van frame rail width

Help! I am trying to figure out the frame width of of my E350 minibus before I pick it up so I can find a trailer hitch. Are the widths on a passenger van and a cut-away the same? I have looked for over an hour online and can't seem to get a definite answer. I saw 42 and 37 inches. Is that the difference between the two. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

I used the 2008 model year, don't think frame widths changed.

This was found from here, I went from model year to chassis, chose cut away SRW e250/350. Hope that helps.

Just measured my 02 E350 cab chassis, 42" outside.

Sorry, I didn't post the number, I 41.8" was the width on the sheet, so like ujoint said 42"

Thanks to both of you. The hole to hole measurement is the number I need. Is 38.8 the same as a passenger van?

Found it. Looks like it is the same. Drove a few miles to where I knew a van was with a tape measure.
