Was thinking about picking it up and turning it into a camping trailer. The owner is asking 800 or it. from the pictures does it look like it is worth $800?

Thanks for the advice.

To me, it would depend on the tub condition. If there are no spots rusted through, it'd be well worth it. If there are a few spots needing attention that look repairable point them out and try talking them down to $700. If the tub has major damaging rust where water puddled, and you think you can handle cutting and replacing the bottom, try talking him down to $600 or lower.

Where is it? If you don't pick it up, I will! All kidding aside, I would say well worth it.

The tub looks to be in great condition, no holes or damaged areas in the pictures. I think it is worth the $800 as well. I would jump on it, they dont come up very often in that condition.

I would do it! Actually, I did, so I don't need to do it again!

I would start lower, but fair, and see where you get. Unless there are big holes in the tub that can't be seen from the pictures. If so, only you can decide if you are able to deal with that.

Good luck.

Ahh....holes are over-rated....ask me how I know....:victory:

Joking..if I would've found one local in good condition I would've paid 600-800 for it. But then I also wouldn't be having all this fun building one from near scratch.....

I say snag it, and if it seems too much for you to fix, let us know, I'm sure someone in here would gladly take it off your hands.

The tub is in good shape and the brakes work. I picked it up today and brought it home. How to see about stripping the thing down and taking care of the surface rust.

To give you an idea I sold an 1943 MBT trailer that was falling apart, had major holes in it and the front brake handle was gone and I sold it to a guy in atlanta for $600.00 to match his 43 jeep. He also had to pay to ship it there. That was only $80.00 through my brother in laws work though.

Then I sold my M100 that was in really good shape here locally for $1200.00

I think that you got a great deal.
