Four Wheel Camper Customer Service

I wanted to register a standalone thread about what a great experience I've had with Four Wheel Camper's customer service.

Between Tom, Stan, Terry and Chicali, I've always received prompt replies to everything from (a) tire-kicking questions to (b) installation of a used camper (which they stored for a few days until I could get out to California) to (c) service long after "the sale" to (d) a proposed camper design.

How Terry can remember me after dropping out of site for a year at a time when I head overseas is pretty impressive.

I'm not remunerated in any way...I just wanted to register a thread about Four Wheel Camper's customer service. As with all businesses, sometimes folks find a business on an off day and, no doubt, I'm sure FWC has had a bad day on occasion where a customer has become pretty frustrated. But I wanted to say that I've had nothing but a super experience over the past two years which has been the polar opposite of some people's experiences I've read about here in this forum.

For the record, I can be a pretty particular customer. So, for prospective buyers, that's been my experience....FWC has consistently hit the ball over the fence for me.

Again, I'm not remunerated / discounted / compensated in anyway...I just like to see American businesses flourish and lend momentum in any way I can.

Thanks to Four Wheel Camper. You guys are doing great.

I will second that.

I was in contact with Stan for almost two years before buying my camper. He was always very helpful.

When it came time to order my camper, both Stan and Tom were great to work with.

Post purchase support has been good as well.

+2 I ordered a new screen door for my Hawk. Wife drove up to pick it up and had a slight wait as UPS forgot to put in on the truck for deliver. 4WC had already sent someone to Sacramento to pick it up.

My experience was 180 degrees opposite. On May 25 2010, I ordered a Fleet shell model camper from the east coast dealer. The terms of purchase were my deposit ( $2,500 ) and the balance due within 10 days at delivery. The dealer demanded full payment after my deposit check cleared ( a change in the terms of purchase ) saying it was a custom ordered camper covered under some very fine print verbage. I cancelled the order due to those changes. The dealer still has my deposit. So, if you order in my home state, be sure you write on your cancelled check ( deposit of $$$$, bal of (amount due at final delivery ), and you won't find yourself in my situation. Thanks for reading

I had similar results with that dealer. He was a real real jerk. He also wanted to tack on all kinds of extra fees and costs. Finally, he bad mouthed the other dealers and the factory itself.

I decided not to order him, instead ordering with the dealer in Wisconsin (I am equidistant from those two dealers).

On the other hand, the FWC staff themselves have been really helpful and responsive.

I think your problem was the dealer. Send a message to FWC about it, they need to know that this guy is making them look bad...

I can also say the FWC support before and after the sale have been excellent. We purchased directly from the Woodland factory. Steve was our sales guy and answered any and all questions. At pick up Tom took me for a more detailed tour of the factory while I waited. The installation and familiarization by Chicali and Brian were great. I felt very comfortable with the camper once i got it home. Terry and Steve have continued the support post sale. FWC for us has proved to be a first rate company. We're very glad we chose them as our camper manufacturer. It's been a real pleasure working with the entire crew.

I called them yesterday (the factory) about a new door for my camper, they checked and got back to me just like they promised, and I don't even have a FWC camper. No complaints here.
