Hi, I'm doing a fix up of a older Fleet model FWC. The plywood and spring lift mechanizium, unfortunately is wasted from water damage. I'm wondering if anyone has replaced the lift system with gas charged struts.
I'm going to be carrying my spare on the roof and the mechanical advantage of the struts is definitely a desired benefit.
