Hello Everyone!

Can someone can please let me know if I would need a commercial license if I convert this ambulance into a camper?

I am not sure if theses the right place for this.

Thank you in advance!

No commercial license needed if regged as a motorhome. Might need an air brakes endorsement though if it has air brakes.

Thank you @dwh, you are totally correct. I am looking to get in a brake endoresemnt here in NYC. I though about getting something like the Freightliner because of the space, but I am not sure if will be very practical. (English is not my first language).

Can't say with certainty, but it's quite *likely* that it is neither >26000lb nor equipped with air brakes, so you won't need a CDL.

You may still want to register it as a motor home since it make insurance a bit easier...

Send along details if you'd like a better assessment.

cheers,
Greg
