Fridge question.

Well, I am finally getting off my butt and getting this thing started. Ordered about 350 feet of steel tubing and they say it will be here Friday. Will be posting pics of the progress so stay tuned. Trying to keep the profile low but when the top of the cab is about 10 feet high, kind of hard.

Here is the question. I am wondering what size refrigerator is going to be required. We will be taking me the wife and four sons (ages 2 -8) out and about. I have limited funds and can't see spending $1,000 plus bucks on a three way fridge that is only going to be used 4 or 5 times a year. Was thinking two small fridges,(the kind you find in a rec room) side by side or stacked. We have one already that is pretty cool because it has a dispenser like thing for soda cans. Not a lot of freezer room though. It will freeze food though if you turn it all the way down. Was thinking one for keeping things cool, one for keeping things really really cold. What am I missing? Besides them only being 120 volts so this is the first limitation and drawing alot of power by the double up.

Can't see myself getting an Arb as this is going into a RV like expedition camper.

Thanks ahead of time.

Two problems with using domestic fridges.

1 they are not strong enough to take the bumps and the pretty soon the mountings will fail offroad.

2 when they cycle on,they need a huge power supply.
