If you are registered the ROF has a thread going on them that is pretty good.

theyre a stupid amount of money.

They're $800 per axle.... which is about the same you'd pay for new chromo's and ctms. Not too bad in my opinion. It should be noted though that they're not a viable option if you're running D60's that see highway use at all. Supposed to be pretty good with 44's on the highway though.

I havent reached a level where even my 260s arent good enough. I can forsee many a stripped ring gear with these.

And even if your 260 u-joints aren't enough you can grab some 297 shafts out of a TJ and you'll be good to go. I run them in a HP30 in a V8 ZJ on 35's and they've been holding up just fine.

So, will they actually survive high speed use? I was totally sold on getting a set for my 60, but they wouldn't survive.

So, I'm going to go the CTM route, probably.

ah, I meant my 260s are good enough. I've seen 760s on a front waggy 44 hold up to 37s pretty damn well. Unless youre being pretty crazy or have a deeper low range than the 2:72 or huge tires most people will be fine.

Yeah, I got what ya meant, just wanted to make sure people knew that they didn't have go crazy to get upgraded shafts/joints.

I like bobby long been dealing with him for years for toyota shafts. So i can garente the quality but why. The weak point of the axel is not always the shaft. I see maney buying them then going to a 44 and then a 60 so ur out 5k and could have just gon stright to the 60. I have busted 3 R&P 4 housings and 5 outers. So if u want this for pice of mind im all for it but man thers lots of outher up graded your going to half to do.

Yes i currently run a 30/35 and have no plan on swap them in my yj. For what I do its just fine stock. This jeep is not my crawler just for back country driving.

I can see the point w/ rubi 44's. Our shafts are the weak points. If you add up the cost of chromo shafts and ctm's you'll be spending about the same as you would for these.... w/o having to worry about u joints going out.
The initial testing write ups that i've read talk about how much easier it is to steer from the stock style u joint set ups.
If these hold up well to daily driving I'll be upgrading my front shafts with them.

Their website says for offroad use only; I'll take them at their word. I just ordered a set of AlloyUSA shafts and CTM U-Joints for 1020.00 I think that setup will be just fine. The AlloyUSA axles use the larger sized JK U-Joints and when Jack, the owner of CTM, bought a JK he started maked them in addition to the std D44 and D60 U-joints. I was concerned but Jack said they are fine for road use and I know somebody who has 60k on a set.

Where did you read the "off-road only" part? I thought his Dana 60 axles were offroad only, but over on ROF I could have sworn they mentioned he specifically built the Dana 44 version for DD applications.

EDIT: Never mind I see he has that disclaimer at the top of his page. I have emailed him asking him to join and comment on this thread.

The D44 version was designed for more of a DD/trail rig. The D60 variants are for offroad use only. There are a few people that have been testing them out on their DD's.
